ARTHROPODS


Arthropods are animals with segmented bodies and six or more jointed legs. They are the largest animal group on Earth.Arthropods are generally small. Most are less than 1 cm long. Most belong to one of three major groups: insects, crustaceans, or arachnids.


Coconut crab:
The coconut crab is the world’s largest terrestial arthropod in the world and is known for its ability to crack coconuts with its pincers. They can weigh up to 4kg (Some reports claim up to 17kg) and leg span of 1m.
